The Chinoiserie Gardens are a collection of homes and gardens designed by San Francisco Bay Area artist Jasmine Wang.
Chinoiserie - a 17th century French term “Chinese-esque” used to describe the European appropriation of oriental styles. What started out as an act of imitation had eventually become a style on its own.
And in being such, Chinoiserie Gardens is that sublime extension where East meets West in perfect harmony and grace; Yin to Yang – balance and centrality.
Our beautiful 4 spaces: the Peony, the Magnolia, the Iris and the Bamboo Suites. The murals in each suite were hand painted by artist Jasmine Wang. Delicate floral wall papers were specifically created for each space. As you step into each room beauty and peace envelopes you. Each suite has been appointed with just the right pieces and touches, down to the little things that bring a warmth and smile to your face. The crystal chandeliers add a glamorous sparkle both in day and night, as with all the individually designed window enhancements. So many wonderful and charming elements that set the stage with sheer luxury and personality.
The ease in which one is transported into a realm of comfort and tranquility, immersed in the beauty and uniqueness that Chinoiserie Gardens is. And all right here waiting for those to welcome. There is a poetic fluidity that flows between each space. It’s a celebration of seasons on full display as you settle into the comfort it lends. An experience that bathes the soul and soothes the mind etching a fond memory to be shared and told.
And then there is the garden. A fantasy come alive; vibrant, colorful, fragrant, brimming with life and love. A fairytale-like secret paradise with a tea pagoda that is right out of a dream wrapped in the beauty and pureness of nature. Steeped with glorious sunlight the garden renders itself to a calmness, a silence, a stillness that quiets the mind, the body and soul. A mediative and relaxing atmosphere to transcends and transforms your very being at its core.
